Q. Do you have a shop or are you online only?

A. Austin's Koi is an online business.

Q. When can I expect my Koi order to arrive?

A. All Koi are dispatched on an overnight courier service guaranteed before 12noon next day. We ask for you to contact us once you receive the koi to make sure they have arrived safely and more importantly, you are happy with your Koi purchase from Austin's Koi.

Q .Can you hold my Koi until spring or when my pond warms up?

A. Yes we can. It is to give you the opportunity to purchase quality koi once they arrive from the autumn harvest, always a great time to choose your koi. Then if you require us to hold your Koi purchase until suitable temperatures in your pond we can store your Koi until then.

Q. Do you delivery internationally?

A. No, unfortunately we now only ship koi to the UK mainland. All other products can be sent internationally but please ask for prices of delivery.

Q. What is KHV?

A. KHV (Koi Herpes Virus) is a virus affecting just carp including Koi. This is a worldwide virus and is activated by temperature, there is no cure, your koi could die. Austin's Koi supply koi vaccinated against the virus. Magnoy Koi Farms in Israel are the ONLY country in the World to vaccinate against KHV. Our stocks are KHV FREE.

Q. Do you quarantine all your Koi?

A. Yes we do. Austin's Koi will pick-up newly-arrived koi stocks directly from the airport, and once back at our heated facilty the koi will be rested and fully quarantined, only being sold once we are happy that all fish are fit and healthly.

Q. Can I mix Japanese and Isreali Koi together in my pond?

A. It's your choice, thousands of koi keepers do with no real issues.

Q. Japanese or Isreali which one do I buy?

A. Japan is still the source for consistent top quality koi (even though there is such a thing as an average Japanese koi) and it enjoys many generations of breeders who specialise and excel in specific varieties. Nevertheless, we still believe that you must judge every koi you see on its physical merits and buy accordingly irrespective of its origin.
